Leaflets issued by the new hotel and restaurant workers' Organizing Committee, which aimed to bring together workers from all crafts and all national and ethnic groups. The 1937 leaflets emphasize the new labor legislation, part of the New Deal, which guaranteed workers the right to organize. The cartoon colorfully points up the contrast between unorganized and organized workers. Note the union "bug" at the bottom of each leaflet, indicating that it was printed in a union print shop. There is also a well-crafted union logo at the top of each leaflet.
